BREAKING: Canada has launched the world’s first spot Solana (SOL) ETFs, now trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Approved by the OSC, issuers include Purpose, Evolve, CI, and 3iQ. These ETFs come with staking capabilities, allowing holders to earn yield on their SOL—staking provided by TD Bank, with Figment supporting 3iQ’s SOLQ ETF.

Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas called it a major step forward as the U.S. still lags behind with only Solana futures ETFs.
