MUXED ACCOUNT
A muxed account wallet (short for multiplexed account) is a type of Stellar-based wallet that allows one main Stellar address (or public key) to handle multiple unique sub-accounts under it using a memo ID or a 64-bit identifier.
It is denoted with a “M” at the beginning (e.g., M... instead of the usual G... in regular Stellar addresses).
💡 Example: Muxed Account = One address, many users under it
Why it's important:
(Pioneers that never had migrations before are now reporting having the letters OKX2 at the end of there wallet address!)
A muxed account helps identify individual users or transactions tied to a single main wallet without creating separate accounts for each.
This is especially useful for platforms, services, or DApps that manage transactions on behalf of users—think of it like giving each user their own "reference number" under one big account.
🧩 One wallet, many identities
Why the Pi Core Team gave muxed accounts to all DApps built with Pi:
1. Improved scalability and efficiency
It allows DApps to use one master wallet for all user interactions, reducing the need to generate and manage thousands of individual wallets.
2. User-level transaction tracking 🧾
Every user action or payment within a DApp can be uniquely tracked using the memo ID attached to the muxed account.

The DApp retains custody of funds but can still distinguish which user performed which transaction, improving fraud detection and resolution.
4. Seamless integration with the Pi blockchain
Since Pi is built on a fork of Stellar, muxed accounts take advantage of native Stellar protocol features that are efficient and lightweight.
