The ZKsync Security Team discovered that a compromised admin account had taken control of approximately 5 million dollars worth of ZK tokens.
These are the remaining unclaimed tokens from the ZKsync free distribution process.
This incident resulted from a compromised key and is confirmed to be linked to the ZK Token distribution contract. An investigation is currently underway.
The team confirmed that they will announce more details later and that user assets are safe.
