Recently, I saw Da Yu posted a message in the banned group:

If you expect a long bear market, how should you stabilize your finances?

I have recorded a topic in my notes about 100 ways ordinary people can make money in the crypto world. Pursuing stable finances is something that big players consider after they have earned tens of millions or even billions. For ordinary people like us, who still need to work hard for a living, we need to consider how to earn a bit more money.

I estimate it will take 100 or even 200 days to finish this series, just like Liu Ming's support system (I highly recommend the support system; I read it in about 15 days, going through over 580 pages, and I benefited greatly). I hope to complete this series by writing a little each day.

To all friends reading this article, silently say to yourself, 'I believe what Lanxing writes is true,' because these businesses are either something I've done in the past and made money from, or they are still generating income for me, or they are businesses my WeChat friends are involved in.

As for whether or not to engage in these businesses, it completely depends on you. If you, like me, have experienced zero debt, you would want to seize any money-making opportunity. Then this series of articles is suitable for you.

II. Definition and Classification: What is a commission business and its classifications?

Commission business is the process where you invite others to participate in a project or do something. When they complete the specified actions, you earn a commission from it.

Many people around you are selling insurance, which is a type of commission business.

The classification of commission businesses can be divided into continuous commissions and one-time commissions based on whether there is continuous income.

Common forms of continuous commissions include exchange commissions. As long as the people you refer continue to trade, you will earn commission income. For instance, Brother Niu in our group, an old-timer in the crypto world since 2013, doesn’t do KOL work; he only does Binance commissions and quantitative custody. At his best, he earned over 200,000 in commissions in a month.

One-time commissions, for instance, in 2018, Lanxing introduced a Blue V certification business to a high school classmate. The client paid 600 yuan for the Blue V certification, and my classmate gave me a commission of 260 yuan. There was no further business cooperation with the client, so this is a one-time commission business. Sometimes, through conversion, a one-time commission can be transformed into a continuous commission.

For example, the card unfreezing service that Lanxing is currently offering. A friend had his withdrawal frozen on Binance. He found me, and I solved it for him. Then I told him I also have withdrawal services, charging around 1 to 2 percent, ensuring that frozen funds are compensated. Later, he withdrew funds through me because withdrawals are a continuous action. As long as he doesn't lose everything, there will always be a day for withdrawals, and I can continuously earn commissions from this part.

In the circle, Fu Lu Shou and Xiao Xiao specifically deal with withdrawals, but their fees tend to be a bit high.

Lanxing personally recommends that you focus on continuous commission businesses. If you have a way to add people on WeChat (the fact is that adding people on WeChat is very easy; refer to Lanxing's previous guides on gaining followers), then doing one-time commission business is also completely feasible. People's identities and roles are diverse, and so are their needs. With a little conversion, you might earn another commission.

III. What commission businesses can ordinary people do in the crypto world?

1. Exchange-based commissions (various exchanges are involved)

Many people say that exchange commissions are very competitive, but why not think about why so many people still engage in it? Most KOLs have referral links in their Twitter bios. Why is that?

The ceiling is high enough! The market is big enough! The commissions last long enough!

You never know which customer might suddenly generate a large amount of commission income for you.

Last time in the group, Brother Niu said that an inconspicuous customer accounted for over 50% of his commission income for that month!

How to do this business?

You don't need to be a KOL to do this business!

Of course, being a KOL is even better!

You should add 10 to 20 people who specifically do commissions, then understand where they acquire new clients, how they convert them, how they post on social media, how they create content, and how they maintain customer relationships. Just copy them directly!

In any business, you should first find your peers, study their models, and replicate them. You will be halfway to success!

If all else fails, find a supplier and ask them to guide you. For the first month, all customers should use their referral link, and they will naturally teach you.

At the same time, carefully observe your customer acquisition methods and retention models. Take good notes and persist, and you will eventually build your own customer base.

For instance, in the group, I observed that Brother Niu, whenever someone adds him on WeChat, regardless of whether they use his link to register, he sends a thank-you red envelope. He also collects common questions in a favorites folder, so when a customer asks, he can easily provide the answer, significantly improving chat efficiency.

Additionally, you can solve problems others encounter during registration. For example, many people in the country can't register for Binance or OKX. Can you publish articles or tutorials to help others register through your link and then teach them how to download? It's just a matter of changing an Apple ID, which costs less than 30 yuan on Taobao.

Don't underestimate exchange commissions. When you trade, you’re likely to lose everything, but with commissions, you're likely to earn steadily!

A few days ago, a guest who had earned 10 million in three years from exchange commissions was invited to a space by Bird Brother.

So let me say it again: exchange commissions have a high ceiling! The market is big enough! Commissions last long enough!

2. Tool-based commissions

To accomplish something, you need a specific tool, and that tool has an invitation commission; this is what we call tool-based commissions.

After I posted this video, I didn't manage it much, but unexpectedly, it is still generating income for me. After some time, I will withdraw about 1,000 yuan. Although it's not much, I only spent half an hour recording a video and posted it on YouTube without much promotion. You can see that my video recording was very rough at that time.

In the past year, the dog-fighting robots I recommended also earned me a salary equivalent to an ordinary person's annual salary.

3. Other types of commissions

For example, commission from opening accounts with Hong Kong stock brokers. Coach Zhou in my friend circle specifically does IPOs for Hong Kong stocks, charging a one-time tuition fee and then charging another commission for account opening. This business model is very satisfying.

Similarly, the commission from the wealth-generating Knowledge Planet is also something many people are doing.

Even in the paid groups you recognize in the crypto world, if you recommend students to the group owner, isn't a 30/70 revenue split reasonable?

In 2021 or 2022, I wrote a tutorial on registering for the payment tool Wise. Guess what? I actually earned a commission income of $75 gradually!

This means you should collect more information and publish more tutorials, whether written or video tutorials. Just spend half an hour, and you can earn unexpected commission income!

When you see someone promoting something in your social circles, like WeChat groups or Telegram groups, take a moment to consider if it's something you can do. Then add it to your list and register with a new account. While registering, take screenshots or record a video, then share it on your social media or YouTube. It's not difficult at all! One day you might find that you have earned some money in that account.

Don't be disgusted by advertisements, and don't ignore others' recommendations. Remember that there is definitely a money-making motive behind those ads.

IV. Summary

Commission-based businesses can be done by anyone. Customer acquisition channels, conversion methods, and customer retention models vary for everyone. Spend more time observing how others in the industry do it, copy them, and you can also earn some commission income without taking much of your time!
