I was this close to losing everything in a slick crypto scam. It started with a Twitter post about a “limited-time presale” from a verified-looking account.

The link took me to a perfect clone of a major launchpad site — same logo, same UI. I was about to connect my wallet when I noticed the URL had an extra hyphen. Red flag.

I backed out fast, and later saw multiple reports about that exact scam draining wallets. That near miss changed everything. Now, I triple-check URLs, use a cold wallet for big holdings, and NEVER click on links from DMs.

In crypto, one second of caution can save you thousands.
