The daily routine of retail investors:
Spending money like water in the stock market, yet patching and mending in life. Losing thousands or tens of thousands in stocks in a day without batting an eye, yet when considering buying something that costs a few or a dozen dollars, I think it over and over, still reluctant to buy!
Clearly a retail investor, yet busier than the big players. Clearly amateur trading, yet acting like a professional investor! Starting from the opening auction at 9:15, I watch from opening to closing every day, but still lose more than I gain. Later, I realized that in the stock market, it’s not about who works harder.
On the opening day, I lost money and cursed; on weekends and holidays when the market is closed, I feel restless and uncomfortable, finally waiting for Monday's opening:
9:30 so excited and thrilled!
10:30 gradually starting to lose hope, lying flat, scrolling headlines, scrolling TikTok,
11:30 sighing, but still holding onto hope for the afternoon,
13:30 seems to have picked up a bit, looks like the big players are bottom-fishing!
14:30 the diving performance starts on time,
15:00 continue to curse, TMD it’s another money-losing day!
Not trading is impossible; if I don’t trade for a day, my hands itch, always wanting to buy something. The thought of 'doing T' gets stronger and stronger, but as soon as I trade, oh no! I regret it, either I chased the high or sold too early!
“Why does it drop when I buy, rise when I sell, keep rising when I don't buy, and keep falling when I don't sell? Did the big players install surveillance on my phone and computer?”
Before trading, I want to make money; after trading, I just want to break even. "As long as I can break even, I will definitely close my account and stop trading!"
Thinking to myself: as soon as I break even, I will sell immediately, not waiting even a moment, but when it finally approaches breaking even, I think maybe I can earn a bit more!
Ha, this is the daily routine of retail investors!
