This has turned otherwise treatable conditions into death sentences for many. Patients in Gaza are now dying from injuries and illnesses that could have been managed—if not for the relentless attacks and the ongoing blockade of humanitarian aid.

On Sunday, Israel bombed one of the few hospitals still operating, leaving even more Palestinians with routine medical needs at risk of death. Striking healthcare facilities is a violation of international law and considered a war crime, yet such incidents have occurred repeatedly throughout this conflict.
