After the collapse of $OM, I must warn about the danger of buying coins that have no token issuance limit, or that issue billions of tokens, or that are not truly decentralized. There is a huge list of altcoins with these characteristics that are likely to fail soon. Remember the true mantra to be engraved before investing your money in cryptocurrencies: scarcity, utility, liquidity, decentralization, and diversification.

Scarcity: if the number of tokens is much greater than 21 million, be cautious.

Utility: if the coin has no utility in the present or if that utility is also present in competitors, be cautious.

Liquidity: if the coin is not available on the two largest exchanges, be cautious.

Decentralization: if most of the tokens are locked by the team or held by a few investors, be cautious.

Diversification: if you have not found all the characteristics above in the coin you wish to acquire, at least do not invest all your resources in a single option.
