#Vaulta Vaulta Strategic Transformation Web3 Bank, EOS Brand Officially Retires
In March 2025, the original public chain project EOS Network announced its rebranding to Vaulta, fully transitioning to the Web3 banking business, with plans to complete token replacement by the end of May (subject to community voting confirmation). Vaulta will integrate the Bitcoin banking solution exSat, retain the EOS technical architecture (such as smart contracts and cross-chain functionality), and collaborate with institutions like Ceffu and Spirit Blockchain to expand services in crypto asset custody, payment settlement, and compliance tools. At the same time, Vaulta has established a Banking Advisory Committee, consisting of traditional finance and blockchain experts from Systemic Trust, ATB Financial, and others, aimed at promoting the compliance process and bridging the gap between traditional banking and DeFi. CEO Yves La Rose stated that this transformation relies on mature regulatory environments such as the EU MiCA regulations, aiming to create institutional-level Web3 financial infrastructure and achieve the vision of inclusive finance. Following the announcement, the EOS token saw a short-term increase of over 30%, but the long-term effectiveness of the transformation remains to be verified.
