1. Why borrow BNB instead of buying it directly?
Binance TGE activities generally last 30-60 minutes. If you buy or sell BNB specifically for this activity, you also need to conduct contract hedging; otherwise, you might incur losses.
But using Lista Lending is different; you can use your BTC and other assets to borrow BNB, borrow before the event and return it afterwards, the cost = borrowing interest + cross-chain fees, which is much better than the previous method!
