Why I Auto-Buy $BTC & $BNB and Short Half the Amount I follow a simple crypto strategy: I automatically buy Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance Coin (BNB) regularly, and I also open a short position worth half of what I buy. Why? Because BTC and BNB are strong assets for the long term. BTC is like digital gold, and BNB powers the biggest crypto exchange, Binance. I believe their value will grow over time, so I use auto-buy (or DCA) to slowly build my holdings without worrying about market timing. But crypto is volatile. Prices can drop suddenly. That’s where the short comes in. By shorting 50% of my spot amount, I protect part of my portfolio if prices fall. If BTC drops, I lose value on my spot, but I make gains on my short. I then use those gains to buy more BTC or BNB at a cheaper price. If prices rise, I still profit overall—just a little less because of the hedge. This mix helps me grow safely: I stay in the market, I buy more when it’s cheap, and I reduce losses during downturns. It’s simple, balanced, and helps me stay calm no matter what the market does.
