Align with the Higher Timeframe Narrative
ICT constantly stresses the importance of multi-timeframe analysis.
Before entering a trade on the 5 or 15-minute chart, you must understand what the 1H, 4H, and Daily charts are doing. These higher timeframes show you the institutional narrative. Are they accumulating?
Distributing? Seeking liquidity? If your entry signal on a lower timeframe doesn’t align with the HTF direction, skip the trade. In crypto, lower timeframe noise can easily fake you out. But when your lower timeframe OTE or FVG aligns with a higher timeframe breaker block or liquidity sweep, your trade becomes high probability.
This top-down approach ensures you’re trading in harmony with the bigger players, not against them. Higher timeframes filter out false signals and provide a directional bias you can trust.
