WalletConnect officially launched #Binance After seven years of hard work, yesterday when I authorized the IDO in advance, I needed to link to Binance's web3 wallet. The QR code scanning link we often use, though many might not have noticed it. It is the blue icon for selecting QR code scanning when connecting a wallet.

In the 67th issue of Binance Launchpool, users can now obtain WCT rewards by staking BNB, FDUSD, or USDC.

WalletConnect took seven years to establish 'QR code login' as the connection standard for Web3. How many troubles did we encounter with mnemonic phrases, setting up RPC, and installing wallet plugins? It was super unfriendly for beginners. Do you remember how difficult it was to use Web3 applications back then? We had to deal with mnemonic phrases, set up RPC, and install wallet plugins... it was extremely unfriendly for newcomers.

From the beginning, WalletConnect aimed to solve this problem with a very simple philosophy:

'Let users scan to use Web3, just as simple as using WeChat.'

'Connecting users to the blockchain quickly and efficiently.' It’s not just a slogan, but a commitment over seven years to make this 'bridge connecting users to on-chain applications' fast and stable. It has now become the default entry point to the Web3 world.

Currently, it covers over 45 million users globally,

having initiated 274 million connections,

supporting over 600 wallets and more than 61,000 dApps,

with monthly active connections exceeding 20 million.

Almost all mainstream wallets and apps are using it (like MetaMask, Binance, okx, Jupiter, etc.).

Why is WalletConnect worth paying attention to?

It makes 'QR code connection' a daily experience in Web3. I even used it when authorizing my MPC wallet yesterday. If Web2's 'QR code login' is our memory, WalletConnect brings this experience directly to Web3, enabling everyone to seamlessly go on-chain.

To summarize:

Over the years in Web3, the most challenging aspect has been implementation.

WalletConnect has spent seven years truly solving the connection problem for users, and now, through WCT, it has elevated 'connection' to a new economic level.

Scanning is the beginning; WCT is the key.

A bridge to Web3 has now been built.
