Don't leave your wallet door open!
In the world of crypto, security is not a luxury, it's a necessity. From the very first day I entered this field, I heard stories about hacks and huge losses, and this made me very cautious about protecting my assets.
These are the most important steps I personally followed:
1. Use a cold wallet (Hardware Wallet) – keep my assets completely away from the internet, which significantly reduces the chances of hacking.
2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) – I never open any crypto account without it, whether on platforms or wallets.
3. I never share my private keys or secret phrases even with the closest people.
4. I use a dedicated email just for crypto, with a strong and unique password.
How do I keep up with updates?
I follow cyber security accounts specialized in crypto on Twitter.
I read reports from Binance and Cointelegraph when they release new threat updates.
And I join trusted Telegram groups with people who keep up with the latest developments.
Once, someone tried to impersonate technical support from a well-known platform, asking for "identity confirmation" by sending the Seed Phrase. Thank God I was aware and understood it was a scam, and I blocked him immediately.
The most important advice? Treat your digital assets as if they are your money in a private bank – and no one enters this bank but you.
