To give you an idea of how significant a tariff of 145% is, imagine you are a resident of the US looking to buy (import) a product from China, let's say a BYD car priced at $16,000, then the total you would have to pay with a tariff of 145% is $39,200 📈
And yup, of course, that is a very significant increase from the original price, so this will make US citizens tend to be more reluctant to buy or import products from China👌
