Trump announces his special stop news with "Buy Now

Published President Donald Trump, "This is a great time to buy!!! DJT" on Truth Social four hours ago. At that time, no one outside his team knew what was going to happen.

Shortly after, minutes later, he dropped another post announcing that the United States would immediately raise its tariffs on China to 125%. The post also stated that there would be a 90-day halt for all other countries, during which the tariff would be reduced to 10%.

Trump gave a lengthy explanation in the post. He stated that China has shown "disrespect" for global markets. He said the new 125% tariff was effective immediately. He added that more than 75 countries had contacted U.S. agencies such as the Department of Commerce, Treasury, and U.S. Trade Representative regarding issues related to trade barriers, tariffs, currency, and non-cash practices. He said those countries did not respond to the United States, so he gave them a temporary deal: a temporary halt at a rate of 10%, as it is effective now.
