The Washington Post revealed that American billionaire Elon Musk made personal appeals to President Donald Trump to cancel the comprehensive tariffs, in a different stance from the close circle around the president.

Musk went on to criticize the architects of these tariffs, warning of rising costs for consumers and businesses.
