How far does it need to fall to bottom out?
It's like a little boy asking his mother: "When can I stop going into the women's bathhouse with you?"
The mother replies: "When you want to go in, you can't go in."
It sounds a bit convoluted, but the reasoning is simple: when you really want to bottom out, it might not be the right time; and when you completely don't want to bottom out, even feeling despair about the market, that's when the opportunity arises.
This is the so-called "Lemming's Law." The laws of the market often contradict human intuition; when emotions are at their highest, the risks are the greatest, and when emotions are at their lowest, the opportunities are the most abundant. So, don't rush to chase the highs and sell the lows; patiently wait for the market to truly cool down, and that may just be your best entry point.
