Binance Founder CZ Appointed as Strategic Crypto Advisor to Pakistan
In a major step towards digital innovation, Pakistan has appointed Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) as the Strategic Adviser to the Pakistan Crypto Council. The decision was announced after a high-level meeting led by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, with senior officials from SECP, State Bank, and IT Ministry present.
“This marks a historic moment for Pakistan,” said Minister Aurangzeb. “With CZ on board, we’re accelerating our vision to become a regional leader in blockchain and digital finance.”
CZ also held meetings with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, reflecting strong government support for crypto innovation. As adviser, he will guide Pakistan on regulation, infrastructure, education, and adoption of blockchain technologies.
“Pakistan’s youthful population and tech potential are immense,” CZ noted. “I’m excited to contribute to this journey.”
