My futures trading method is to specialize in shorting at peaks, not doing DCA, and absolutely not accumulating losses because I always place a stop-loss (SL) right after entering the trade, and it is a close or very close SL. If, unfortunately, I hit the SL, I will look for another entry point instead of accumulating losses and doing DCA until I lose sleep, peace of mind, and constantly be in a state of worry and fear.
