In light of the global economic impact from Trump's tariffs, Starmer believes that the government needs to "act faster and stronger" to drive growth through supply-side reform. This week, he and Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves will announce policies to promote growth, including easing regulations for the electric vehicle sector and accelerating the implementation of the industrial strategy.
