A new Department of Defense task force is visiting military bases and academies to confirm that all DEI offices and initiatives are being dismantled—exactly as ordered by Secretary Hegseth and Trump.
Led by Army veteran Jules W. Hurst III, the 9-member team is validating implementation of the “Restoring America’s Fighting Force” memo, which mandates a return to pure meritocracy in the U.S. military.
The goal: remove all race- or identity-based preferences and restore focus on lethality, accountability, and readiness.
The final report is due by June 1—and it will measure whether the military has truly returned to colorblind, merit-based standards.
