Yesterday, after Donald Trump's speech and the announcement of the new tariffs known as 'Reciprocal Tariffs', I was left wondering: How does it make sense to order a strategic reserve of Bitcoin, right after unleashing a trade chaos that could provoke a global market crash?

Execute the acquisition of Bitcoin $BTC , and then provoke market drops that cause Bitcoin to be unable to continue its original development, resulting in declines and losses in value, even though Bitcoin's value remains very high.

It's like ordering a massive purchase of gold and then announcing that silver will be valued more.

But we must also consider one thing. On one hand, they are accumulating BTC as a strategic reserve. On the other hand, they use the conflict to reinforce domestic capital and favor the local industry.

Then another question arose:

Is it a strategy of silent accumulation or rather a market manipulation disguised as economic policy?

The silent race for control of Bitcoin

It is important to note that the U.S. is not the only country that has started to take action. In recent years, several countries have begun to accumulate BTC publicly or in secret; here are some examples:

  • China: Despite public restrictions, banks and companies operating in the shadows with blockchain technology and their own stablecoins, along with suspicions that China is self-sabotaging to devalue its currency (the Yuan). Additionally, there are suspicions that they mine Bitcoin covertly.

  • Russia: It has been suggested to use cryptos to avoid international sanctions.

  • Venezuela: Created its own crypto linked to the price of oil (El Petro) and has explored alternative routes with BTC.

  • Iran: Allows mining and uses it for foreign trade.

  • Germany and Switzerland: Custodians of Bitcoin through banks.

  • United Arab Emirates: Major investments in blockchain infrastructure and mining.

What role does the U.S. play in all this?

With the recent inclusion of the strategic reserve of Bitcoin, along with the new tariffs, it seems that the U.S. is seeking four things at the same time:

  • Silent accumulation of BTC while the market declines.

  • Economic protection to strengthen its local industry.

  • Positioning as a dominant power if the dollar loses strength and BTC begins to consolidate as a global reserve.

  • Generate more economic power in the long run.

Conclusion:

In my view, we are not witnessing a simple economic policy decision.

We may be witnessing a silent war for the acquisition of BTC, where each strategic move hides much more than it appears; there are not only commercial/industrial interests at play.

What do you think? Leave it in the comments 😉
