What consensus mechanism does SCDO use? #Holding SCDO for the future stars and sea #SCDO #SCDO Chinese Community
SCDO uses an improved proof-of-work consensus mechanism known as ZPoW (Zero Proof-of-Work) consensus. Essentially, ZPoW falls under the PoW category but has been optimized to address issues present in traditional PoW (such as mining power monopoly and resource waste).
All nodes in the SCDO network participate in block generation competition through hash calculations, with the successful ones obtaining the right to record new blocks and block rewards. Although it is still fundamentally “hash power speaks,” SCDO has made innovative improvements to the details of the PoW algorithm, making competition among miners fairer, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly. It is important to emphasize that the SCDO mainnet **does not use proof of stake (PoS)** or delegated proof of stake (DPoS) consensus; instead, it chooses to adhere to the PoW route while significantly enhancing the fairness and security of PoW through ZPoW.
