Arrest of the owner of the "BitBoy Crypto" channel:
In the past few hours, "Ben Armstrong," known as "BitBoy," was arrested on Tuesday night in Volusia County, Florida, where he is currently being held without bail, according to jail records.
His arrest came under a warrant related to a fugitive, likely issued due to threatening electronic messages he sent to a judge while representing himself in court.
He had referred to the arrest warrant days before his detention.
A video clip circulated on platform X shows a person believed to be "Armstrong" during his detention following a scuffle at a "Popeyes" restaurant, but some members of the cryptocurrency community questioned the authenticity of his identity.
So far, the exact reason for his arrest on March 25 has not been officially disclosed.
"Armstrong," who gained fame through his "BitBoy Crypto" YouTube channel, faces recurring legal troubles.
On September 25, 2023, he was arrested in Gwinnett County, Georgia, following a dispute with his former business partner over a Lamborghini, a confrontation he streamed live on social media.
He was then charged with two counts of loitering and simple battery, while authorities reported finding a firearm and illegal drugs in his car.
