When SEC will anounce final decision about XRP
As of March 25, 2025, Ripple Labs has reached a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding the lawsuit over the alleged sale of unregistered securities. Ripple agreed to pay a reduced fine of $50 million, down from the initially imposed $125 million. This settlement is pending approval from both the SEC and the presiding judge. Additionally, the SEC has withdrawn its appeal concerning a previous court decision that XRP tokens sold on public exchanges do not qualify as securities.
