There are some interesting free token distributions coming up on blockchains and tokens designed specifically for gaming.

Free token distribution season is in full swing, with applications, protocols, and other projects taking advantage of some market signals to finally distribute their tokens and potentially reward millions of cryptocurrency users in the process.

But after all, what is a free distribution of tokens? In the context of crypto assets, free token giveaways are often a way for projects to reward their initial users and contributors by giving them a share of the newly released tokens while also spreading the tokens widely for governance purposes.

When it comes to blockchain networks and tokens designed specifically for gaming, there are some very interesting free token distributions coming up in the coming months. Here’s what players will be looking at, and maybe there’s still time to get involved and get some tokens.

Web portals

Portal is undoubtedly one of the most watched free token distributions currently, although it is also controversial. This multi-blockchain game token aims to unite Web3 games across multiple blockchains, and their community is currently encouraging cryptocurrency users to earn free points by creating, sharing and interacting with content on Twitter.

As annoying as it may be, there’s still excitement about what Portal is building. The team, much of which comes from SuperDuper’s Overlord and Creepz NFT teams, has recruited Rockstar Games co-founders and other advisors, and has gained support from allies like talent agency WME and NFT marketplace Magic Eden.

Portal says free distribution will be available in January 2024, following the recent presale period and release of the latest version of Crystal Dash’s free distribution farming experience.

Xai

Xai, a “layer 3” gaming network built on Arbitrum (Ethereum’s layer 2 scaling network), is about to launch its first wave of free distribution in the coming days. The distribution was originally scheduled for December 27, but was pushed back a week to early January.

Developed in partnership with Arbitrum developer Offchain Labs, the Xai Network will release its first XAI tokens to owners of selected NFT projects and to Sentinel node operators who purchase Sentinel keys.

Saga Protocol

Saga is a new blockchain network designed primarily for gaming, so it makes sense that playing games is a way to earn a potential share of the upcoming freebies. In December, Saga launched a “Play to Win” campaign across multiple games running on the testnet, where players who ranked high on the leaderboard had a chance to win a share of SAGA tokens.

In fact, Saga CEO Rebecca Liao told reporters that some players could end up getting a “double share” because the game could also launch its own token and reward it to early adopters.

Liao said the Saga mainnet is scheduled to go live in spring 2024, and more competitions will be held in the coming months, possibly also in games on other blockchains. #Web3  #代币空投
