Over 130 Australians have fallen victim to sophisticated SMS scams where fraudsters impersonate Binance representatives, claiming account compromises and directing victims to transfer funds to fraudulent wallets. The Australian Federal Police are actively investigating these incidents. Targets were contacted by SMS and encrypted messaging platforms by scammers pretending to be a Binance representative claiming their cryptocurrency accounts had been breached.
