#XRPETFs As of April 28, 2025, XRP (Ripple) exchange-traded products (ETPs) are gaining momentum globally, though U.S. regulatory approval remains pending. Here's an overview of the current landscape: 21Shares Ripple XRP ETP (AXRP): This physically backed ETP tracks XRP's performance and is listed on European exchanges. As of September 13, 2024, it had assets under management of approximately $63.8 million, with a net asset value of $16.13 per unit. The fund is 100% backed by XRP held in cold storage and is managed by 21Shares US LLC, with Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC serving as the custodian. Bitcoin ETFs have gained traction in the U.S., XRP ETFs face regulatory challenges. The SEC's stance on XRP's classification as a security has been a significant hurdle. However, recent court decisions and ongoing discussions suggest a potential shift in the regulatory environment, which could pave the way for future approvals.

#TrumpTaxCuts As of April 28, 2025, President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans are working to extend and expand the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), which is set to expire at the end of this year. The proposed legislation aims to make the individual tax cuts permanent and introduce new tax breaks, including those for manufacturers and auto loans. However, the plan faces significant challenges. The cost of extending the tax cuts is estimated to be around $4.5 trillion over the next decade. To offset this, Republicans are considering $2 trillion in spending cuts, including reductions to Medicaid and green energy incentives. There is also debate within the party over restoring or increasing the state and local tax (SALT) deduction cap, which is a critical issue for representatives from high-tax states.
