1. What is Grass?
Grass is a DePIN project that allows users to earn passive income by sharing their Internet bandwidth with AI training companies.
Your reward for sharing bandwidth is Grass Point, which will be the criteria for the project to distribute airdrops later.
Bandwidth is a term that describes the ability to transmit data over the Internet. Bandwidth is measured in bits per second (bps). On today's computers, bandwidth speeds range from millions of bits per second (Mbps) to even billions of bits per second (Gbps).

Currently, the Grass development team is completely anonymous. However, behind the project is the Wynd Network company - a decentralized Web Proxy network.
The only person who revealed his identity was Andrej Radonjic, co-founder of Wynd Network and Grass. He holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from York University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University.

Grass currently serves as the data layer of AI with an infrastructure consisting of two main components:

5. How to participate in Grass project airdrop - phase 2 (11/15/2024 end)
To have a chance to receive Grass - Phase 2 airdrop, you must participate in the project as a bandwidth provider, in return, you will receive reward points that can be exchanged for tokens when the project TGE.

Step 2: Install Grass Desktop App
At this step you have 3 options, install Grass Chrome Extension with basic mining speed, Grass Community Node with 1.25x speed and Grass Desktop App with 2.00x speed. Because you have to download software and give more permissions to the app, Grass Community Node will have more risks(You need to consider carefully before participating!). But in this guide I'll show how to setup Grass Extension and Grass Desktop App.
Step 3: Go to the Grass download page and log in to start the installation

Note:
You can earn more mining speed by inviting friends. The % bonus points received will be calculated according to the levels respectively 20-10-5%. For example, you invite person A, person A invites person B, person B invites person C. The number of points you receive will be 20% of what person A mines, 10% of what person B does, and 5% of what person C does.
The invitee will have to accumulate at least 100 hours of mining, verify email and not be flagged as a cheater to receive points.
After installation is complete, please verify your email and wallet, otherwise you will not receive tokens if the project airdrops.

7. Development roadmap
The project has not yet announced a detailed development roadmap, but below are the milestones it is aiming for.
The network will officially go live once they overcome the challenges in current algorithms.

New Interface: They have created a new interface that is more intuitive and user friendly.
Open Access: Currently the project only allows new people to join the network through referral links. They will soon remove that barrier to expand the network.
