🚨 Ethereum shuts down the Holesky testnet in 2025! 🚨
📢 Ethereum developers have announced that the Holesky testnet will cease operations in September 2025. This is due to issues encountered while testing the Pectra (Prague-Electra) upgrade, which led to failures among validators and difficulties in transaction registration.
⚡ What does this mean?
🔹 Holesky was a key testnet for staking and protocol development.
🔹 A new testnet, Hoodi, has been launched to help test validator exits.
🔹 The implementation of Pectra has been postponed to April 25, 2025.
📜 The completion of testnets is not uncommon! Previously, Ropsten, Rinkeby, Goerli, and other networks have been shut down. Holesky is next in line.
