😱📯The former CEO of Binance warns that 95% of crypto investors will not survive💅🏻😱📯
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the former CEO of Binance, made a forecast for the world of cryptocurrencies, suggesting that a tiny percentage will succeed in the long term.
On March 17, CZ responded to a post on X by EmperorBTC, a crypto influencer on X, who analyzed the psychology of players in the cryptocurrency market and claimed that the vast majority are not equipped to handle it. EmperorBTC said: "The bar for succeeding in crypto is very low."
EmperorBTC explained that 80% of crypto investors are "tourists" who enter the market based on current dynamics and leave when sentiment changes. More than 10% make trading decisions based on "crazy influencers."
He added that 5% are just pretending to be wealthy, leaving only 5% who understand cryptocurrencies.
CZ noted that even if there are 5% who are actually insiders in the crypto space, most of them still cannot beat Bitcoin anyway.
According to CZ, among the 5%, only 4% trade or allocate capital towards blockchain projects, but they do not manage to outperform Bitcoin in holding.
In comparison, long-term Bitcoin holders exceed 99% of all participants in the cryptocurrency market and outperform most traditional asset classes without putting in much effort, he said. At the same time, however, he stated that reaching the top 1% of cryptocurrencies requires "extraordinary effort," work, and market knowledge.
CZ said: "4% actively trade or work on projects but will not outperform Bitcoin. Holding BTC outperforms 99% of cryptocurrency market participants and other types of assets, by virtually doing nothing.
