Million-Dollar Cryptocurrency Scam in Madrid, Malaga, and Murcia; 400 BTC Missing! 🗣️

The scammers recruited investors with promises of 300% returns at #bitcoin . The scam collapsed after years of fraud.

🔹The organization used online platforms to simulate bitcoin investments and attract victims.

🔹The victims saw initial profits, but when they tried to withdraw their money, the funds were frozen.

During the operations, 73 bank accounts, 12 vehicles, five motorcycles, computer equipment, and €1,500 in cash were seized, as reported by CriptoNoticias. The fraud is estimated to have involved 400 bitcoins (BTC). At the current exchange rate of approximately €93,000 per BTC, this would be equivalent to approximately €37.2 million.

Authorities recommend that investors verify the authorization of financial institutions through the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and be wary of promises of high, risk-free returns. They also advise avoiding schemes that solicit new clients to obtain bonuses and being wary of requests to install remote control apps on personal devices.
