This is very American #乌俄停火
According to a report by AFP on March 13, hundreds of activists and supporters from a Jewish organization that supports the Palestinian cause suddenly stormed the Trump Tower in New York, accusing the U.S. President of suppressing freedom of speech. The report stated that these individuals responded to a call from the 'Jewish Voice for Peace' organization, surrounding the heavily guarded Trump Tower around noon. They sang in unison, 'Down with the Nazis, not the college students,' and later some forced their way into the lobby. The New York police reported that 98 people were arrested. After noon, the Trump Tower returned to calm. The protesters were demonstrating against the arrest of a pro-Palestinian individual from Columbia University over the weekend, an action by the police that sparked nationwide reactions and angered defenders of free speech. A slogan seen at the protest site on the 13th read: 'Free Mahmoud, Palestine must be free!' This relates to Mahmoud Khalil, who is still detained and at risk of deportation; he is a spokesman for a student organization at Columbia University opposing the war in Gaza. Columbia University professor James Schamus stated, 'The possibility of being arrested in the street and subsequently deported from this country for expressing political views on this overseas conflict is chilling.'
