Be quiet, small man." ā These were Elon Muskās words to Polandās Foreign Minister, RadosÅaw Sikorski.
If this is how he treats high-ranking officials, just imagine how he views the rest of usā¦
Pride comes before the fall.
I was considering buying a Tesla Model S Plaid, but Iām backing out. As a āsmall personā, I feel unworthy of Elonās attentionā¦
UPDATE:
For those unfamiliar with the situation, hereās the context:
Muskās harsh response came after Sikorski said:
"The ethics of threatening the victim of aggression apart, if SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider, we will be forced to look for other suppliers."
Why?
Eutelsat is ready to step in and replace Starlink in providing internet to Ukraine. This challenges Muskās claim that Starlink is irreplaceableāand that has major business implications.
The military use of Starlink is a lucrative opportunity. If Starlinkās credibility is shaken, it could jeopardize Muskās future defense contracts. Especially given that withdrawing internet service during an ongoing conflict raises concerns about connectivity being used as a political tool.
Musk is already facing setbacks:
Starlink contracts lost (Canada, Mexico, Italy, Spain)
Tesla shares down nearly 38% this year
Starshipās latest test ended in an explosion over the Bahamas
Maybe thatās why heās a little on edgeā¦
EDIT:
Yes, there was an errorāSikorski is currently Minister of Foreign Affairs, not Defense. He held the Defense position in a previous government. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts, I havenāt been able to correct this since yesterday.
