Emily Xie showcases AI artworks trained by her own code using MODEL-WIP.

Emily Xie is a generative artist who integrates code with cultural heritage in her work, creating a series of algorithmic artworks to train custom artificial intelligence models. This project is part of MODEL-WIP, an artist-led experiment aimed at exploring how AI can be used for creative expression.

MODEL-WIP sees the opportunity to put AI tools in the hands of creators, enabling them to narrow the gap between the model's current performance and the performance they desire, allowing artists to train AI with their own works, thus giving them better control over how their style is replicated.

Xie's series 'Infinite Scroll' will premiere on March 6 at the bitforms gallery in New York, where visitors can preview the AI models and their outputs.
