USDC has become the first USD stablecoin approved for use in Japan. SBI VC Trade, a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, received official confirmation from the Kanto Regional Financial Bureau, allowing it to operate as an electronic payment instrument trading provider. This approval enables SBI VC Trade to initiate a trading trial for USDC with select users, with a full-scale rollout to follow.
