Several key officials in the Trump administration have been core figures at a16z. For example, former a16z UK crypto investment head Sriram Krishnan has been appointed as a Senior Policy Advisor for AI at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; former a16z global crypto policy head Brian Quintenz has been nominated as the chairman of the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission). Additionally, a16z co-founder Mark Andreessen has also been invited to attend the White House 'Cryptocurrency Summit', further strengthening a16z's influence at the government level.
