$XRP What is XRP?
XRP is the native cryptocurrency of Ripple, a crypto payment system created by Ripple Labs Inc. XRP is its "digital asset designed for global payments." Ripple aims to compete with money transfers typically conducted by traditional banking systems. XRP would allow users to send money at reduced fees, attracting potential interest from the general public and banks. Two of Ripple's key value propositions are the minimal transaction costs and a transaction finality of less than five seconds.
The company was founded in 2012 by Chris Larsen and Jed McCaleb and is based on the work of Ryan Fugger, who originally created the XRP Ledger in 2012. The XRP Ledger is an open-source crypto ledger optimized by a peer-to-peer network of nodes. McCaleb eventually left Ripple and founded Stellar, another cryptocurrency focused on payments.#WhiteHouseCryptoSummit #bitcoin #USJobsSlump #solana @tuNNCay #WhiteHouseCryptoSummit
