🚨 Bybit Hacker Launders $1.4 Billion in 10 Days

The Bybit hacker, suspected to be North Korea’s Lazarus Group, has successfully laundered all $1.4 billion worth of stolen ETH and ERC-20 tokens in just 10 days.

THORChain and other decentralized protocols were used to convert and obscure the funds, making recovery increasingly difficult. Despite this, blockchain security firms believe some assets may still be traced and potentially frozen.

Bybit has already replaced the stolen $1.4B in user funds and continues operating smoothly, but over $280 million is considered unrecoverable. Meanwhile, security experts warn that cross-chain protocols and mixers are becoming key tools for large-scale crypto laundering.
