i m new in the crypto market so please anyone advice me how i earn money from there?

for my personal knowledge

there are 2, method for earning

1. long term

2. short term

1. long term :

in there we invest money for a long term and when the token value is high then we earn a lot of money from there

2.short term :

in there when the token price is going low we invest in there and when it's going high then we sell the coin and we withdraw the money

but the problem is i like 2nd method

but there are the problem is when i invest money the price gone down and for that all i loss a lot of money

so please someone advice me in which app or website i need to use for know which token price down or high?

another someone tell me how the crypto is work?
