⭐ PI ACCOUNT NAME REVIEW and APPEAL for CORRECTION ⭐
1. Initial Review Period (14 Days):
All Pioneers are given 14 days to review and correct any MAJOR ERRORS in their names. You will see the "Review Name" option and a countdown timer at the bottom of your home screen.
- 🚨 IMPORTANT: If the countdown has expired, you can NO LONGER make FULL NAME CHANGES to your Pi Network account sign-up information.
2. After 14 Days:
Pioneers are given the option to appeal for MINOR ERRORS in their sign-up information. This feature is available in your profile in the main menu on the home screen.
- What qualifies as a minor error?
- Spelling corrections.
- Switching of first and last names.
- Adding a middle name, prefix, or suffix.
- 🚨 IMPORTANT: You CANNOT request FULL NAME CHANGES after 14 days.
3. Name Verification Notice:
- The name on your account must closely resemble the name on your government-issued photo identification.
- If it does not, you may face issues during the KYC process.
- Only MINOR ERRORS (e.g., typos, missing middle names, or suffixes) can be appealed after the 14-day period.
4. Name Appeal Process:
- Name appeals will be processed as part of the overall KYC process.
- The name change appeal system is still in development, so expect longer wait times for processing.
- ❗ IMPORTANT: If you have already submitted your KYC, you will need to wait for your KYC to be rejected before appealing for minor corrections.
5. Example of an Appeal:
Submit an appeal and state the reason as:
"Hi dear Pi Team, my real name is 'John Doe,' but the system chose 'Larry John' by default from Facebook. I can provide any necessary details and live verification. Thank you."
