Early Ethereum Investors Move Their Assets to Exchanges On August 16, for the first time in nine years, a whale with the address 0x61b9 transferred $334.7 $ETH (~$1.5 million) to a new wallet. The investor purchased these assets for $104 in 2014. The return on investment was 14,269x. On August 18, another early investor sent 4,460 ETH (~$19 million) to the Kraken exchange. Over the week, the address 0x815C5 transferred 9,803 ETH (~$43.9 million) to trading platforms. In mid-August, the inflow of Ethereum to exchanges increased sharply. Daily transfers to trading platforms exceeded 2 million ETH several times, reaching a maximum of 2.6 million. This is happening against the backdrop of strong growth of the asset and hints at possible profit-taking from investors and, accordingly, strong pressure on the asset. If this trend continues, the airwaves may well show a correction to the $3,500 - $4,000 area amid sales, without ever reaching $5,000.
