$5 billion options will expire on February 28
Due to the $5 billion options contracts set to expire on February 28, Bitcoin is facing additional pressure. A significant portion of these contracts has a higher strike price, making it likely that they will not be profitable at expiration.
Data from Deribit shows that approximately 78% (worth $3.9 billion) of these expiring options will not be profitable. Meanwhile, $1.3 billion worth of Bitcoin has been transferred to exchanges, which may lead to further sell-offs.
