The National Bank of Ukraine has issued a new commemorative coin with a face value of 5 hryvnias entitled "Let's Hold the Line!". It is dedicated to the indomitability of the Ukrainian military defending the Motherland, as well as the unity of Ukrainians in the fight for a just victory.
The coin was issued to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It is made of nickel silver - an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc, and has a circulation of up to 50,000 pieces in souvenir packaging.
The obverse of the coin depicts Ukrainian defenders joining hands in a symbolic handshake, reflecting unity. The background is made in the form of defense lines and directions of combat operations, resembling a trident. The reverse of the coin shows soldiers on the offensive, as well as military equipment and silhouettes of civilians of various professions who support the army with their work and help.
The coin will be available for purchase through the NBU online store from February 25, 2025. It can also be found in the following distributing banks: Ukrgasbank, PrivatBank, Taskombank, Oschadbank and FUIB.
