Infini hacked
Crypto-focused
neobank Infini
was reportedly hacked
for $49.5
million on
February 24, 2025.
The stolen funds were swapped for DAI and used to purchase ETH.
CertiK flagged suspicious activity on the same day at 3:18 am UTC, noting
unauthorized transfers from an Infini-related contract on Ethereum
The hacker granted themselves special access to an account and withdrew
49.5 million USD Coin (USDC). Following the hack, Infini's co-founder
assured customers that they would receive reimbursements.
The incident raises questions regarding private key management and smart
contract security.
Infini, launched in 2024, positions itself as a bridge between traditional banking
and cryptocurrency finance, offering stablecoin transactions and
yield-generating accounts.
