1. Only position in a bear market

You must have patience and try to position at the bottom of the bear market (although it is impossible to buy at the true bottom). A simple way to judge the bottom of a bear market is when no one is paying attention to Bitcoin, and the crypto market is lifeless. You can make intermittent purchases during this period, which may last for a year or even longer.

2. Only buy mainstream coins

BTC and ETH will always be the kings of the crypto world; buying in a bear market is definitely correct. While they may not yield exponential returns, buying in a bear market and holding until the bull market will definitely yield over 50% gains. This is the first choice for large funds.

Exchange platform coins: such as BNB

Relatively strong base chains: such as SOL, AVAX

Good infrastructure coins: such as MATIC

Strong consensus coins: Dogecoin, SHIB (I do not recommend strong consensus coins because their utility is minimal, and their value is entirely dependent on the number of buyers.)

Only mainstream coins should be heavily invested in; never heavily invest in altcoins. The logic of altcoins is to prey on inexperienced investors, and every bull market will give birth to many types of altcoins. Altcoins that soar in this bull market may completely fade away in the next. They will be overshadowed by the highlights of new altcoins. Without insider channels and information, it is nearly impossible to pick an altcoin before it explodes. Typically, you only learn about an altcoin after it has surged, and by that time, it is already too late to follow. Perhaps with some luck, the coin may continue to rise, but it is more likely to experience volatility and decline. Altcoins are too volatile for the average person to hold onto regardless of price movements. It often results in small profits and significant losses. Ultimately, it all adds up to a loss.

3. Sell in the mid-bull market and do not operate further.

In the early stages of a bull market, BTC will gradually rise, leading the way and pulling up ETH. At this time, some good mainstream coins will also rise, while other coins will slowly increase, with a few altcoins skyrocketing, while most altcoins remain quiet.

In the mid-bull market, BTC and ETH fluctuate upwards, mainstream coins gain momentum, and altcoins begin to activate.

In the later stages of the bull market, BTC fluctuates downward, ETH may continue to rise, and mainstream coins will also peak, while the high-performing altcoins of the next bull market can soar several times, even tens or hundreds of times.

At the end of the bull market, BTC may drop several thousand points or even tens of thousands, then slightly recover. The first sharp drop recovers quickly, giving the illusion that it's just an adjustment. After two or three such drops, the bull market is declared over. If you find yourself trapped, please do not hold onto fantasies and stop losses in a timely manner. Otherwise, your principal will be dragged into an abyss.

3. Do not gamble in a bull market

There are many opportunities in a bull market, especially in the later stages when altcoins are flying everywhere, with many experiencing significant increases, making them very attractive. The urge to jump in or impulsively invest heavily in certain promising but yet-to-explode altcoins can be tempting; however, this mindset should be avoided as it is akin to gambling. It's purely a gamble and has nothing to do with investment.

Every bull market will give birth to many scam coins that prey on inexperienced investors. These coins often have flashy marketing and appear to have strong backing, with rapid price increases. Resist the temptation; only when the tide goes out do you see who is swimming naked. When BTC plummets, and the bear market arrives, these coins will be halved, quartered, or even close to zero.

If you really can't resist the temptation, only use a very small amount of funds to play. Even if you make a small profit, do not impulsively go all in. Absolutely do not, absolutely do not, absolutely do not. This is akin to gambling, and luck cannot always be on your side. It's not about how many times you make a profit but how once losing everything could wipe out your capital. Do not fantasize about heavily investing in an altcoin and becoming rich; this is akin to dreaming of winning the lottery, a super rare event. Small investments can be treated as entertainment, but treating them as investment is a grave mistake.

4. More patience, less impulsiveness

After buying in a bear market, patience is needed to wait for the bull market to sell. Do not operate during the ups and downs, waiting requires patience.

After selling in a bull market, patiently wait for the bull market to collapse and enter a bear market. This may take one to two years. Do not impulsively buy at the halfway point; wait patiently for the moment it hits the bottom.

After selling for a profit in a bull market, do not succumb to the temptation to impulsively play with altcoins. If you must gamble, only use a maximum of 10% of your funds.

5. The principal is always the most important

If you accidentally operate incorrectly and become trapped, the most important thing is to preserve your principal. During the collapse of the crypto market, be willing to cut losses in a timely manner to preserve most of your principal and maintain a basic level. There is still hope for a comeback. Be patient and wait for the crypto market to fall into the abyss before using the remaining principal to buy the dip. Do not stick with a coin that is trapped and accompany it in the market's collapse; often, if you sell a trapped coin before the market collapses, you may only lose 50% of your principal. If you ignore it and let it fall, holding on to the end, when the coin hits the market's bottom, the remaining principal will have almost no chance of recovery.
