$BTC New Hampshire has made history by enacting the first Strategic Bitcoin Reserve law in the United States. Governor Kelly Ayotte signed HB 302 into law on May 6, allowing the state to allocate part of its reserves to Bitcoin. The law permits up to 5% of the state's reserves to be held in BTC or other digital assets with a market cap over $500 billion. Custody must remain under U.S.-regulated arrangements, such as qualified custodians or exchange-traded products. This move is based on a model developed by the Satoshi Action Fund, aimed at setting a standard for state adoption. Rep. Keith Ammon introduced the bill with support from Majority Leader Jason Osborne and local blockchain advocates. Ayotte celebrated the moment, declaring that New Hampshire is "leading the way in forging the future of commerce." The statute will go into effect 60 days after signing. Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas are now racing to be the second state to pass a similar law.

#USHouseMarketStructureDraft This draft could be a game-changer for the crypto space. By clearly defining when digital assets are not securities, it provides much-needed legal clarity—especially for secondary markets. This could boost liquidity, make compliance easier, and attract more institutional players who’ve been waiting on the sidelines due to regulatory uncertainty. If passed, it could help many tokens avoid SEC scrutiny and reduce the legal gray area that’s stifled innovation. Clear rules encourage responsible growth and give developers confidence to build in the U.S. It’s a positive step—but the final language and implementation will be key to its real impact.

#FOMCMeeting With the Fed unlikely to cut interest rates in May, crypto and other risky assets might stay under pressure for now. High interest rates usually make the dollar stronger and borrowing more expensive, which can slow down investment in crypto. Investors should be careful—focus on strong, trustworthy projects, avoid too much risk, and keep some cash ready in case prices drop. It’s still smart to think long-term, but in this kind of market, timing matters more. Stay flexible, manage your risk, and keep an eye on big changes—because when rates finally do go down, markets could move fast.

JACK MALLERS: 🟠 If you went to the doctor and your heart had zero volatility, you’d be dead. Volatility is life. Bitcoin isn’t risky because it’s volatile. It’s volatile because it’s working.
