$LTC
**LTC (Litecoin)** is a cryptocurrency created in 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former employee of Google. Considered "silver" compared to Bitcoin's "gold", Litecoin is designed to provide faster transactions and lower costs. Based on Bitcoin's source code, Litecoin uses the Scrypt algorithm instead of SHA-256, which increases block confirmation speed (2.5 minutes compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). LTC is often used for small transactions and is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the market.
