⚡Microsoft scales in Quantum Computing⚡

#Microsoft discovered a revolutionary new material and turned it into a quantum chip that could mark the beginning of the next era of computing.

The reason we use phones, laptops, and other electronic devices today is semiconductors, which were discovered by Faraday in 1833.

Now Microsoft has discovered the #topoconductores materials that could finally take quantum computing to a new level of scale.

From these topological conductors, Microsoft manufactured #Majorana 1. According to the company, two major problems of quantum computing are resolved here: scaling and calculation errors. It took scientists 20 years of work.

The fact is that usually, the more #qubits there are in a chip, the more errors it makes. But with the topological conductors, this could change, and Majorana can scale to billions of qubits without losses.

By comparison, the most powerful quantum chips currently have no more than 150 qubits. At the same time, the conductors are very "compact," so such a chip fits in the palm of your hand.

The CEO of Microsoft says that "all of this opens up a completely new era, and now we will be able to have true quantum computers not in decades, but in a matter of years."
